A Lion Named Apathy! (Overcoming Complacency in the Workforce) A keynote by Dan Surface
In this fun and high energy keynote talk, Dan Surface both entertains the audience and educates about one of the leader’s biggest challenges. We see it everyday….we see indifferent workers in the fast food stores where we stop for breakfast or the gas station attendant acts like he could care less about our business. Our clubs and organizations have trouble getting members to attend the meetings, yet alone step up and volunteer to be a leader. That lion name Apathy has even attacked many of our families. You can see it at the mall. The eleven year olds whose pants are too low and their tops are too small trying to act like a sexy 18 year old. They used to sneak those clothes out of the house. Now those parents look at their kid and say see you later, too apathetic to argue any more. And we especially see the Lion named Apathy’s ferocious attack on the job. In Dan’s keynote, he convinces everyone that THEY ARE A LEADER even if they work alone. He shows them five important concepts to overcome apathy in our everyday lives, especially on the job. His tools? Dan Surface will use a bullwhip, a chair and a banana. The audience will have a great time as he talks about lion taming and as he shows the audience a new way to open a banana. They’ll use his concepts to recharge their own batteries as well as those of their employees and co-workers.
